Spark plug installation torque for the 5.7 engine is listed at 18.5 to 22 lbs/ft. The 6.4 L engine has a note saying the plugs are a torque critical tapered design with a note not to exceed 15 lbs/ft., but there is no such note for the 5.7L engine. Incidentally, the coil mounting bolts show a torque spec of 9 lbs/ft.
A lifter failed in my grand cherokee and caused the cam shaft and a bearing to go bad so I'm looking for a new 5.7l hemi v8 engine to put into my jeep. There is a ram truck engine (5.7l v8) for sale, but there isn't much information on the internet about swapping the engines. Is the swap possible? Thanks.
