Fiat Grande Punto is the third generation of the Italian concern's passenger car. In 2009, an updated model called Punto Evo was shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show. In 2012, after another upgrade, the car's name was simplified to simply Punto .
On board computer says average consumption is 35 miles per gallon, and we are getting about 400 miles to a full tank. The engine performs well in low gears and has pretty good acceleration. Only week point is it is quite slow to build up speed once you get over 70 so can be a bit of a pain on the motorway. T.

May 19, 2012. #4. nope there is no way, 16v is timed with loose cam pully and all pistons at middle dead centre. many try with out tools 1% get lucky 99% KILL THE ENGINE. I have a 2005 1.4 8V GP in France. Ever since I got it there have been occassional misfires, nothing to make it undriveable, no check engine light, so when I had time (i.e. yesterday) I replaced the air filter (old one looked fine, just old and starting to fall apart) and spark plugs, nothing else.
