The 2.5 with the MT is very well mated. I've driven the 2.0 a little when I was test-driving. For spirited driving I'd honestly rate the two pretty closely; neither engine is super fast and once the 2.0 is above 4,000 RPM it pulls enough for you to have fun, just as you would in the 2.5. For around-town I strongly prefer the 2.5.
